With more and more of our members hitting the 40 zone, we have ventured in to that dangerous land that is known as PvE. So far the guild is has rapidly cleared and elevated BWE and BRB to farm status. What this means, and this is the big point, is that we now have access to Sentinel gear twice a week. Sentinel gear will provide us with the Greater Wards required for clearing Lost Vale, and if you’ve seen the loot from there you’ll know why i’m excited.
“What does this mean for me?”, I hear you excitedly ask. The impact of this is important for each and every member of the guild in different ways. For those of you who are level 40 or are close to reaching it, the impact is obvious. Much of this tasty loot will soon be finding its way in to your bags! For those of you who are in the middling levels or even lower, the big thing now to realise is that soon we shall have Lost Vale killed and cleared, and looted. By the time you reach level 40, virtually every item in the game for your class is going to available to you.
“I couldn’t care less about PvE!”, I hear some of you pointedly state. This doesn’t matter, as the core of our players are still RvR active, some like Nidhogg being hybrids of PvE & RvR, and some like Izha being as pure RvR as is possible. I would say i’m verging on the complete PvE focus myself, but even I will be found regularly in the RvR lakes of the world. The important thing here is that the guild is now at a new level, a level where we can partake in all the world’s treasure hunts and one in which we can enjoy with pride the which comes underneath our names.
One word to the wise however; the operative word here is PATIENCE. Without being ‘elitist’ in any way, we will be trying to get the same players warded with Greater Wards as soon as possible, as once they have them, we can get in to LV and start clearing that for you. So for a few weeks, it may seem that it is only the same 6 people who get to go to the city instances; this will very soon change! We are very conscious of everyone deserving to see the endgame content and will try to rotate people in and out of the instances as much as possible, as soon as possible. A good example of this is Antikas, our level 40 shaman, who is now going to BWE in place of Gone, our level40 zealot, as Gone has both items for his set from here. Once Gone is full in BRB, Antikas will take his place in BRB also. This should happen for people of all archetypes soon, and patience is the key.
I have been in the process of producing videos of our achievements, as well as guides for members who wish to see how we do things before they go, these should be online hopefully by the second half of March (I have a lot to do at University at the moment, and the blonde girl keeps distracting me from my more important WAR duties..)
This is a very exciting time for us as a guild, and I wish all the best of luck and enjoyment in the time coming up to it! In the meantime, those reaching 40 try to get at least 2-3 parts of the Annihilator RvR set, as this will give you the LESSER wards required to do the city instances. If you are playing as a tank archetype, this is essential.
